North Tyneside is compact Local Authority Area of approximately 82 square kilometres in area and includes the populated areas of Whitley Bay, Cullercoats and Tynemouth, North Shields, Wallsend, Backworth, Earsdon, Killingworth, Longbenton, Wideopen and Burradon.
