## Summary

The public procurement process involves a demolition contract for the Coypool Park site in Plymouth, being managed by Homes England. This project is crucial as it aligns with the Accelerated Construction Programme and aims to prepare the site for housing development, with potential for up to 600 homes as outlined in the Plymouth and South West Devon Joint Local Plan. The procurement is currently complete, with the contract awarded on 26th March 2019, and the contract period runs from 8th April 2019 to 18th September 2020. The total contract value is approximately £2.6 million, with bidders expected to comply with specific ecological and safety regulations. The tendering process included a deadline for submissions that closed on 18th February 2019.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in demolition and site preparation work, particularly those holding the necessary licensing from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and membership in professional bodies such as the Asbestos Removal Contractors Association (ARCA). Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are encouraged to consider participating, given their eligibility and potential to contribute their skills to the project. The established guidelines and requirements provide a clear framework, making it easier for capable firms to submit competitive bids and engage in a valuable public sector project that supports local economic growth.
