The building at present has been heavily vandalized and subject to several arson attacks. The works will require the safe removal of both licensed and non-licensed asbestos containing material from the structure in accordance with current legislation. Contractors wishing to tender for this contract must have 2 years of audited accounts showing a minimum annual average turnover of PS75,000. A Public/Product liability insurance of PS5 million and Employers Liability Insurance of PS10 million must be provided. It is anticipated the works will commence in September 2020 and be completed by October 2020. The estimated value of the works is in the region of PS55,000.00 to PS85,000.00. BCC will be using its e-tendering system (in-tend) for the administration of this procurement process and providers must register with the system to be able to express an interest.
