The passive works will include compartmentation works, fire doors, general building works, improvements to external exit points of which elements of work will be Contractor Design. The successful contractors are likely to be required to work alongside another contractor on site delivering Active FRA works and may be asked to provide Principal Contractor services to oversee the other contractor. Contractors successfully appointed to a position on the FRA Passive framework will receive individual orders for work done under standalone NEC Option A contracts. These orders may consist of one or several of either School Sites, Corporate Sites, or a combination of both sites. The release of orders will be dependent on the budget of the client and the number of fully designed sites.
