Additionally, providers who emphasise healthy living and patient engagement are likely to align well with the objectives of NHS Arden & GEM CSU in delivering these essential health services. ## Notice NHS Arden & Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (NHS Arden & GEM CSU) on behalf of NHS North Midland (Staffordshire & Shropshire) is carrying out a market engagement exercise for the forthcoming procurement exercise "NHS England North Midlands - APMS Essington Medical Centre located at Hobnock Road, Essington, Staffordshire, WV11 2RF. This Alternative Provider Medical Services (APMS) contract has a start date of 19th April 2017. The current weighted list size is 2,667.02 The contract price will be Global Sum plus 10% per weighted patient. This has been calculated by taking: Global sum (currently PS80.59) plus 10% = PS88.64. The contract value will be (2,667.02 multiplied by PS88.64) PS236,404. The Service Specification will be fully developed following patient engagement and the successful provider will need to demonstrate that they can deliver service(s) of a continuously high-quality and will be responsive to the needs of the local population. The Provider will be assessed on an on-going basis to ensure they deliver the quality required. The services must be provided by GPs and Nurses and the provider will be expected to deliver: a) High quality General Medical Services responsive to the needs of the local population. b) Promotion of healthy living with the aim of tackling the underlying causes of ill health. c) Essential services. d) All Additional Services. e) All Enhanced Services commissioned by NHS England, the Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and the local council. f) Increased access.
