The project aim is to provide an accommodation campus of single living quarters for 2,400 workers. The campus will be comprised of 16 three- and four-storey residential buildings containing the single living units, placed in a broadly east-to-west orientation. Designed to provide single living units for the operatives, each unit will be comprised of an ensuite bathroom, wardrobe space, bed, kitchenette, desk and television. Each floor will typically house circa 40 units serviced by a central corridor. A services cupboard, shared between two living units, will provide hot water and power and act as a vertical services riser for data and waste distribution and removal. The site operations team will access the services cupboards from the central corridor. At the end of each floor will be facilities for the management and care of the units. There will be eight accessible units per three-storey block on ground floor. McLaren Construction will partner with Sizewell to carry out the Campus Construction for Sizewell C under a Construction Management Agreement.
