## Summary

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has concluded a procurement process titled "PS622," focused on the modernisation of its ICT infrastructure under the Defence as a Platform initiative. The initiative is valued at £3,032,593 and covers computer-related professional services. The procurement was conducted through a selective method, specifically a call-off from a framework agreement. The location of the contract activities is primarily in the South West region of the United Kingdom. The award was made to PA Consulting Ltd on 19 May 2026, and the contract is set to commence on 1 July 2026, concluding on 31 March 2027. This procurement is seen in the award stage and included discussions around both the detailed transformation of MoD's IT systems and the necessity of in-house security assurance to mitigate potential risks.

This tender represents significant opportunities for growth in the computer-related professional services sector, particularly for businesses specialising in ICT and cybersecurity services. SMEs are encouraged to partake, especially those with expertise in managing complex IT transformations and compliance with rigorous security policies. Companies that can offer innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and security within a sensitive governmental context would be well-positioned to benefit from such projects. The contract supports the MoD’s efforts toward efficiency and modernisation, thus providing a viable business growth avenue for firms dedicated to advancing technological infrastructure.
