## Summary

Nottinghamshire County Council has concluded the "Ageing Well Care Homes Framework (Round 4)" process, aimed at including additional experienced providers of care home services into their Framework Agreement. The agreement encompasses placements for individuals aged 65 and older in CQC-registered establishments in Nottinghamshire, including Nottingham City. This framework, classified under the "Health and social work services" industry category (CPV: 85000000), operates from 12 August 2024 to 30 June 2027. The procurement stage is complete, and significant dates include the tender period end on 13 June 2024 and the contract period starting on 12 August 2024. The open procedure method solicits bids from both SMEs and VCSEs, and the framework's total contract value is GBP 100 million.

This tender represents a substantial opportunity for businesses providing care home services to secure placements and grow their operations under a structured and stable framework. Eligible bidders must demonstrate experience in delivering relevant services within Nottinghamshire or have such services in development. The framework will allow businesses to enhance their market reach, particularly those who can meet the care requirements for older individuals, thus bolstering their service provision and ensuring compliance with local authority standards. SMEs and new providers particularly stand to benefit by broadening their care home clientele and establishing long-term contracts under the framework terms and conditions.

## Notice

Nottinghamshire County Council (the 'Authority') is seeking to add further experienced Providers of care home services (not individual care homes unless the Provider operates a single care home only) to their Framework Agreement. The Framework Agreement will be used to establish 'Call-off Contracts' with Providers who offer placements to older individuals, usually aged 65 and over, in CQC registered establishments located in Nottinghamshire (including Nottingham City).\\r\r \\r\r A Framework Agreement is an agreement between the Authority and one or more Providers, the purpose of which is to establish the terms governing Call-off Contracts to be awarded under the Framework Agreement during a given period.\\r\r \\r\r The Framework Agreement will be available for use by the following 'Customers':\\r\r \\r\r * Nottinghamshire County Council\\r\r \\r\r * NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Integrated Care Partnership (formerly NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire CCG and NHS Bassetlaw CCG)\\r\r \\r\r Call-off Contracts with Providers under this Framework Agreement may be formed by the Customers for new placements as well as existing placements in care homes in Nottinghamshire with the aim of bringing all care home arrangements under the Framework Agreement terms and conditions.\\r\r \\r\r Call-off Contracts for 'Out of County' placements to care homes operated by Providers who are a party to the Framework Agreement may also be made under the terms of the Framework Agreement. Please note that if an Out of County placement is made to a Provider that isn't a party to the Framework Agreement that Provider must bid to join this Framework Agreement at the earliest opportunity.\\r\r \\r\r Bidders must have experience of delivering relevant care home services and currently be providing care home services in Nottinghamshire or have appropriate services already in development. It is not the Authority's intention to encourage the building and development of additional care home accommodation through this project.
