Repair services are required to cover all vehicles owned, leased or in the property of the Authority or Collaborative Participant and in some jurisdictions to cover work for third party vehicles. It is envisaged that Contractor's will be selected based on their ability to provide a holistic service which is sufficiently flexible to meet the changing demand of the emergency services and locally based in order to support a timely response for the geographical location of Staffordshire. These services are to include but not be limited to inspection, adjustment, restoration, and body work, replacement of assemblies and components used to construct an emergency services vehicle and general repair work, which could take place in a workshop or as a mobile service (limited services). The Authority or Collaborating Participant will scrutinise and assure the quality and cost of services provided throughout the life of the contract. Assessment work will include but not be limited to, the inspection of returned vehicles, scrutinising of estimates and invoices. Vehicle repair is a vital service to ensure the smooth running of the Police and Collaborating Participant(s) fleets.
