## Summary

The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has awarded a contract for the project titled "EPR Current State Mapping Process" in the IT services category. The procurement method used was selective, involving a call-off from a framework agreement. The contract value is £171,650, with a contract period from February 1, 2024, to March 31, 2024. The deadline for the tender was January 22, 2024, and the location is Norwich, East of England.

This procurement process presents opportunities for companies specialising in IT services, consulting, software development, and Internet support to collaborate with the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Businesses with expertise in standardising clinical workflows and documentation across multiple organisations can benefit from participating in this tender. The project aims to enhance collaboration across three acute trusts, creating opportunities for service providers to contribute to the joint acute clinical ambitions of the trusts.

## Notice

The main objective of this project is to build an understanding of current working practices, what data is collected in which system and how information flows between departments and organisations. This is a critical starting point for the programme. To maximise the benefits from implementing a joint EPR across the three acute trusts, clinical workflows and documentation will largely need to be standardised. It is understood that at present, there is considerable variation in both workflows and documentation across the three trusts. Achieving the desired and necessary levels of standardisation requires considerable collaboration across the three Trusts. Alongside the agreed joint acute clinical ambitions and plan to establish specialty-level clinical networks across the three acute trusts, this project will start to bring together teams from each of the three Trusts, as well as provide us with the visibility of our current working practices.
