## Summary

Birmingham City Council is seeking to establish a Framework Agreement for Arboriculture Services (Non-PFI) to maintain approximately 736,000 trees in the northern constituencies of the city, namely Perry Barr, Hodge Hill, Ladywood, Sutton Coldfield, and Erdington. This procurement, currently in the award stage, follows a selective procedure, with the contract set to commence on 1st April 2022 and run until 31st March 2027. The deadline for the submission of the required Selection Questionnaire (SQ) was 21st October 2021, and the awarded contract is valued at £2,750,000. Interested vendors must register with the council’s e-tendering system to engage with this opportunity.

This tender presents an opportunity for businesses specialising in tree maintenance and related services, with a particular advantage for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Suitable candidates should offer a range of services, including tree pruning, crown cleaning, felling, and habitat management. Given the extensive maintenance requirements stipulated in the contract, this procurement could significantly contribute to the growth of businesses that are equipped to deliver comprehensive arboricultural solutions. Companies that are already established in the environmental management sector or have experience with municipal contracts would be particularly well-positioned to participate.
