This procurement is part of a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) intended to support the decommissioning and restoration of various nuclear sites across the UK, including Dounreay. We are responsible for decommissioning 13 nuclear sites (including Dounreay) and one hydro-electric plant, with sites spread across the UK. Many of our sites are in low population areas. A world leader in its field, NRS (including NRS Dounreay) is responsible for safely decommissioning the first generation nuclear and research sites across the UK and restoring the sites for all our futures. It also prepares over the coming years to welcome the seven advanced gas-cooled reactor sites (AGRs), currently managed by EDF, for decommissioning, as well as other future missions. To support our growth and delivery mission, NRS requires a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) to be set up for 5 years to enable an effective route to market for the provision of new metrology instruments (installed and portable) primarily for NRS with some provision for other NDA OpCos. The metrology instruments are needed to replenish ageing and obsolete equipment to enable work on site to continue to be supported. These provisions will be separated into two main categories: 1) Portable and 2) Installed and suppliers will have an opportunity to qualify as an approved supplier for one or both categories. For the portable category please note that these will include: Portable Radiation Monitors, Portable Contamination Ratemeters and Probes, Low Volume Air Samplers , High Volume Air Samplers, Tritium Monitors and Sample Bubblers, Nuclide Identification Devices (NID) , Radioactive Sealed Sources , Electronic Personal Dosimeters (EPD) For the installed category please note that these will include: Installed Contamination Frisker Probes, Hand and Foot Contamination Monitors, Area Gamma Monitors ,Whole Body Contamination Exit Monitors , Vehicle Portal Monitors Waste or Article Monitor, Drum Monitor , Air Sample Counters , Liquid Scintillations Counters, Gamma Spectrometers, Alpha and Beta in Air Monitors PLEASE NOTE THESE ARE INDICATIVE ONLY AT THIS STAGE AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE AND NOT EXHAUSTIVE. The process for awarding a place on the DPS and the subsequent call off process will be administered using the Atamis procurement system. For those wishing to be admitted to the DPS they will be required to complete and pass a Selection Questionnaire (SQ). Any rejected suppliers will be given feedback to help them reapply if they wish to at a future date. It is envisaged the SQ for the DPS will be issued in September 2024, with the DPS going live in April 2025. Once the DPS is established, NRS will invite suppliers on the DPS to bid for specific goods and services under specific packages. While additional details will be shared once the DPS opportunity is published, NRS will utilise the NEC 4 Terms and Conditions.
