## Notice

This project is funded by the Local Government Fund (LGF). The University of Birmingham invites tenders for supply of a full octave spanning frequency comb to the University of Birmingham. The equipment being procured under this tender will play a key role in establishing an internationally leading centre for advancement of quantum technology in the field of sensors and metrology. The system should contain: (1) a femtosecond fibre laser with inherently no carrier offset frequency or tunability of carrier frequency-offset which is a plug-and-play turnkey system that can operate continuously without user interaction; (2) a suitable user software, computer and display for system control and data acquisition and locking electronics; (iii) suite of tunable lasers including wavelengths 399 nm, 556 nm, 1388 nm. Ideally, the system can be extended for (iv) the tunable lasers including wavelengths 578 nm, 759 nm, 649 nm, and 770 nm. Overall budget for this system is up to ?502,000 including VAT. This project may be funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) or; - European Structural and Investment Fund (ESIF) or; - Research Councils UK (RCUK), the strategic partnership of the UK's seven Research Councils.
