Swindon Borough Council invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced service providers for the provision of structural repairs to external staircase's and walkways to 7 no. sheltered schemes, 3 no. external stairs to railway village properties & 3 no. commercial properties. Project Description 1.1 Structural repairs to external staircases and walkways. The works include but are not limited to: * Preparation of steel elements for painting & applying top coat * Replacement of particular steel elements (where necessary) identified within structural reports * Painting stair nosing's * Application of non-slip coatings * Application of protective sheeting's for prevention of climbing * Replacing uprights * Replacement of sections of timber balustrade, where identified. * Replace cracked slabs * Vegetation Removal The initial contract term will be for 12 months from 1st June 2025. With no optional extension periods. Estimated contract spend is between PS340,000 and PS350,000 across the contract term. Full details relating to the Works are provided in the tender documents. To participate, Suppliers will need to Register as a Supplier with ProContract, www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk, then Register an Interest before obtaining access to the tender documents. In the event of difficulties registering as a supplier, please refer to the System Administrator Proactis support team ProContractSuppliers@proactis.com Tender clarifications to be submitted in writing via Messaging in ProContract tender portal by 27th February 2025, 15:00 hrs UK Local time. The Council's responses to these clarification questions will be issued periodically on the ProContract tender portal.
