The service provides advice, information and lifestyle programmes for residents to stop smoking, manage their weight, improve their physical activity and falls prevention support. The service objective is to have a meaningful impact on the health outcomes of the population and reduce the gap in health inequalities experienced in parts of the borough. There are also low level support interventions for mental health alcohol use. Delivery of the programmes also includes screening of participants to ensure eligibility and signposting to relevant lifestyle related services/activities. The service undertakes marketing and outreach activities to promote the service and the health benefits of the lifestyle programmes.
