## Notice

The successful Supplier will be required to provide catering services for Franklin College, Chelmsford Avenue, Grimsby, DN34 5BY. Franklin is North East Lincolnshire's top performing college and is located close to the centre of Grimsby town. The college provides modern facilities in well-kept buildings. Franklin recognises its place within the community and works with local and national companies, clubs, societies and charities to provide opportunities for our students. Franklin is proud to be a college which supports Equality, Diversity and Inclusion among students and staff in order to achieve their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment. Franklin is innovative and outward-looking. Catering for approximately 2 739 students and 150 staff, the college has a main dining area, a coffee shop, a retail shop and vending machines that the catering staff currently service. The Client is keen to ensure that students and staff are encouraged to use the catering facilities and that the food offer is enticing and appropriate to the student and staff population whilst offering best value for money to the students and the college itself. The Client has managed its own catering for a number of years and is now seeking a Supplier to manage its catering facilities who has the relevant experience and expertise in the sector and the drive and innovation to maximise the potential of the catering service. The Client would welcome investment in a branded coffee outlet such as Costa or Starbucks. In addition to provision in the coffee shop and restaurant, there is the requirement for occasional hospitality including tea and coffee trays, buffets and working lunches. The contract will commence on 1.1.2019 for an initial period of 3 years with an option to extend for a further 2 years. The contract value is approximately 900 000 GBP per annum. Suppliers are required to ensure that documents are obtained and returned to The Litmus Partnership Limited, by email to pqq@litmuspartnership.co.uk by the above closing date and time. Documents in respect of economic / financial standing (where indicated in the Selection Questionnaire) shall be returned to The Litmus Partnership Limited, by email to pqq@litmuspartnership.co.uk by the above closing date and time. It will be the Supplier's responsibility to obtain any necessary documents in order to submit a response by the closing date and time. The contracting authority reserves the right not to award any or part of the contract which is the subject of this Contract Notice and reserves the right to terminate the procurement process at any time. The contracting authority will not be liable for any costs incurred by those expressing an interest in tendering for this contract opportunity. The contracting authority will consider variant bids, evaluating them (so far as the variant or the evaluation of the variant is in the opinion of the contracting authority practicable) on the same basis as a conforming bid, but shall not be obliged to accept any such bid in preference to a conforming bid even if the variant bid scores more highly. No variant will be considered unless the bidder simultaneously submits a conforming bid.
