Following on from successful rat eradication of St Agnes and Gugh in 2013, the SRP will enable all of the off-isles of the Isles of Scilly to be cleared of rats, to enable recolonisation and population growth by seabirds, particularly Manx shearwaters and storm petrels. An experienced contractor is required to write an Operational Plan to record in detail the logistic steps that would be required for the eradication by a principal contractor, including estimates of labour, time, boating and accommodation requirements, and an appropriate resulting estimate of the cost of a full eradication.
