## Summary

The University of Southampton is seeking to procure a Library Reading List Software system aimed at enhancing the delivery of course materials to students' virtual learning environments. This procurement is classified under the services category, specifically for library software, with a total contract value of £190,000 and a minimum value of £163,000. The open tender process is currently in the award phase, having published details on 20 September 2020. The contract period is set to begin on 26 May 2020 and will last until 25 May 2024. The procurement process uses the In-Tend electronic tendering tool for managing communications and submissions, and interested suppliers must register on this platform to participate. The tender period closed on 19 March 2020.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses that specialise in library management software and educational technology solutions. Companies that can provide innovative and interoperable systems that effectively integrate with existing university platforms will be particularly well-suited to compete. With a focus on enhancing user engagement and delivering a high-quality digital experience to students, potential suppliers should have strong capabilities in software development, user acceptance testing, and ongoing technical support. As this procurement is designed to streamline processes within educational settings, it may also attract small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) capable of offering tailored solutions to meet the specific needs of academic institutions.
