## Summary

Transport for London (TfL) is currently in the planning stage of a public procurement process titled "MSQ for Brake Capture or Filtration Technologies Trial". This initiative targets the industry category of brakes and brake parts, with additional focus on environmental improvement works and services related to air pollution. This effort is centred in London, United Kingdom. The engagement period is slated to conclude on 28 November 2025, by which time the Market Sounding Questionnaire (MSQ) submissions are required. The project is part of a larger strategic innovation open call for the years 2026 to 2028, aiming to trial brake capture or filtration technologies on various London buses including electric and diesel models. Businesses have the opportunity to participate by engaging in early market engagement activities, as outlined in the associated documentation.

This procurement process offers substantial opportunities for growth for businesses specialising in brake filtration solutions, particularly those with technologies at Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 6 or above. It is particularly suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) ready to trial their technologies in a real-world context. Participating organisations have the chance to influence the selection of technology partners for the upcoming trials, potentially securing positions in future procurement or trial projects. Interested businesses are encouraged to complete the MSQ by the specified deadline and reach out to TfL for further details and participation guidelines.
