This process is currently in the planning stage, with expressions of interest being sought to establish new GP services in Bracknell, prompted by significant anticipated housing growth in the area. The engagement end date for interested parties to respond is set for 5pm on 7th February 2020, with the successful provider expected to commence operations by the development’s completion in 2021/2022. The anticipated contract value will reflect the actual population size, guided by the projected housing growth of approximately 5,271 new dwellings between 2019 and 2034. Any values and timescales stated within this PIN are for guideline purposes only and should not be taken as a guarantee. NHS East Berkshire Clinical Commissioning Group (EBCCG) is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified providers for a potential opportunity for the provision of a new Primary Medical (GP) Service in Bracknell. The outcome of this PIN will inform the procurement options to secure a service provider for the new population where housing growth and development has identified a significant increase in the patient population. The service will build on existing best practice, and focus on a community and health and social care approach. The clinical services will be delivered in an environment that provides patient care of a standard consistent with that of similar services provided elsewhere within east Berkshire. The annual contract value will be based on the global sum equivalent value for 2019/20 (as stipulated in the NHS GMS statement of financial entitlements) and would be reflective of the actual population list size through the planned housing development. The projected population for this area is as follows (taken from the Bracknell Forest Council local Development Plan Strategic Sites Allocation 2017): Table 1: Anticipated Housing Growth: 5,271 dwellings to be built between 2019 and 2034. This is likely to be a gradual population growth due to the continuing housing development. The annual contract value will change depending on the number of patients registered for the new service. The value listed also excludes additional income that can be earned via direct enhanced services, quality and outcomes framework and CCG-commissioned local incentives. The successful provider is expected to be fully operational, providing services from the Blue Mountain Community Health and Wellbeing Centre, Binfield, Bracknell, Berkshire on completion of the development in 2021/2022. Limited additional support may be available to providers where needed to assist with mobilisation.
