## Summary

The London Borough of Hillingdon is currently in the tender stage for the “Provision of 24 Hour Telecare Monitoring Service” aimed at delivering an emergency alarm system and continuous telephone support for elderly residents across 21 sheltered housing developments. The estimated contract value is £1,500,000, with the contract commencing on 1st September 2017 and running for an initial term of three years, extendable by one additional year at the council's discretion. The tender period ends on 5th May 2017, and the contract is classified under IT services: consulting, software development, Internet and support.

This tender presents significant opportunities for organisations specialising in telecare and emergency response services. Companies that provide integrated support systems and those familiar with the Telecare code of practice would be particularly well-suited to compete. With around 4,500 residents currently benefiting from the service, businesses that can demonstrate experience and capability in managing such services will likely find a fruitful entry point into this growing market.
