## Summary

The Home Office is currently initiating the Modern Slavery Innovation Fund Phase 2, aiming to distribute a total of £5 million for innovative projects addressing modern slavery. This funding is intended for Official Development Assistance (ODA) eligible projects, with individual proposals ideally ranging from £300,000 to £800,000. The deadline for submission is set for 28 November 2018, with project implementations expected to span from April 2019 through to March 2021. Proposals must be submitted via the Crown Commercial Services eSourcing portal, and interested parties must ensure they are registered suppliers and have a valid DUNS number prior to submission.

This tender represents a substantial opportunity for businesses, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary and community sector entities, that specialise in social innovation, technology development, or support services related to human rights and anti-trafficking measures. Companies capable of leveraging technology to enhance project outcomes or those focusing on child sexual exploitation are particularly encouraged to apply. Engaging in this initiative not only supports the fight against modern slavery but also positions businesses as key players in a critical social issue, offering potential for growth and collaboration in the sector.

## Notice

The Home Office is seeking to allocate the remaining PS5 million from the Modern Slavery Innovation Fund (MSIF) for ODA-eligible modern slavery projects (preferably ranging from PS300k-PS800k) running from April 2019 to March 2021. Background: The PS11 million MSIF, a subset of the Home Office's PS33.5 million Modern Slavery Fund, seeks to support innovative approaches to tackling modern slavery. The first PS6 million of MSIF grants was awarded following a competitive selection process in March 2017. These projects, running to March 2019, are directly supporting victims of slavery, building the evidence base, tackling slavery in supply chains and helping to share skills and expertise with overseas partners. For Phase 2, the Home Office is proposing to award a total of PS5 million of grant funding ("Funding") for proposals that deliver on the priorities identified in the global Call to Action to End Forced Labour, Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking. The Home Office is also interested in bids that make innovative use of technology or tackle child sexual exploitation, although these are not essential requirements. Bidders are encouraged to submit proposals that run for the full two-years of funding availability from April 2019 to March 2021. All proposals must be made, and will be evaluated using, the online questionnaire hosted on the Crown Commercial Services (CCS) eSourcing portal. Successful organisations will be allocated funding centrally via a Grant Agreement from the Home Office. To take part in this opportunity, please see the guidance below. Email/ hard copy submissions will not be accepted.
