## Summary

The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) is currently in the planning stage for a procurement process titled "Request for Information: Children in Need Online Donation Platform." This process falls under the industry category of IT services, targeting software development, consulting, and internet support. The project aims to develop a secure and compliant online donation solution to optimise income for BBC Children in Need in line with its income generation strategy. Key deadlines include an engagement end date on March 10, 2025. The procurement process locations encompass British Overseas Territories, Channel Islands, Europe, Isle of Man, the Rest of the World, and the United Kingdom.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in software development, particularly those offering SaaS solutions, bespoke solutions, or web integration plug-ins. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are particularly encouraged to respond. Business engagements in this tender can lead to growth opportunities by allowing companies to showcase their solutions and gain a foothold in providing IT and financial system software development services to a high-profile charity like BBC Children in Need. Participation in this Request for Information (RFI) will offer an understanding of market needs and challenges, potentially influencing future procurement exercises by the BBC.
