## Summary

The University of Manchester (UoM) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) for ePortfolio tools, seeking innovative alternatives to its current platform, PebblePad. The focus is on developing a more integrated, inclusive, and accessible infrastructure. This procurement process, initiated on 19 February 2025, is currently in the tender stage, with a deadline for submissions set for 5 March 2025. The university is looking for solutions within the software package and information systems industry, specifically educational software. The resulting contract is anticipated to commence on 1 August 2025 and conclude on 31 July 2028. Notably, UoM no longer falls under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 but commits to good procurement practices to ensure value for money.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in ePortfolio and educational software solutions. Firms experienced in providing flexible, data-integrative platforms with robust support systems are likely to find this RFI appealing. While UoM is prioritising value for money and quality, businesses capable of delivering innovative and scalable solutions will stand a strong chance in this procurement process. The open procedure format ensures a competitive and transparent selection process, allowing diverse businesses an opportunity to engage and potentially expand their footprint within the educational sector.
