## Notice

Funding has been identified to develop a Workforce Development Strategy, for Adult Social care, both internally and externally. There has been a political commitment at Cabinet to ensure we make the care sector a more attractive career, along with the UNISON ethical care charter which the Council has signed up to and the Provider Federation where the Chair of the Board has asked that the workforce strategy be developed to tackle the issues. The strategy will enable the Council and the independent sector to work together to address difficulties. It should be noted that the Council continues to operate under financial pressures and challenges and as such requires a strategy that can be delivered efficiently and whilst achieving the outcomes of the strategy.
