The Family Hubs Volunteer Academy will also support and empower people who have experienced PNMH (Perinatal Mental Health) and PIR (Parent-Infant Relationship) difficulties to become peer supporters. We know this cohort has a significant challenge to take up and sustain peer support roles without adequate support and supervision. In addition, volunteers will be given opportunities to engage with professionals in various fields and roles to try different types of volunteer work and better understand their interests, likes, and dislikes.
