## Summary

The NHS Shared Business Services is seeking suppliers for the "Primary Care at Scale (PCAS) Programme" for Wandsworth Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), set in the health services industry category. This tender is at the Award stage and concerns a direct procurement method with a total contract value of £600,000. The contract commenced on 1 April 2019 and runs until 31 March 2020. The procurement aims to enhance the development of Primary Care Networks across Wandsworth, following the initial work established in the previous year.

This contract presents an excellent opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within the healthcare sector, particularly those experienced in supporting healthcare transformations and network developments. Businesses with expertise in primary care, health services management, and community healthcare support would be well-positioned to compete or collaborate on similar initiatives. Engaging with Wandsworth CCG's ongoing projects could lead to significant growth prospects in a dynamic healthcare landscape.

## Notice

Primary Care at Scale (PCAS) as year two of a two year programme. The second round of funding is for 2019-20 to progress the work started in year one and to support the development of Primary Care Networks (PCNs). In 2018-19 the Wandsworth funding was allocated to BHCIC the GP Federation to complete an initial scoping exercise for developing PCAS across the borough and to then develop and implement an action plan which included a number of workstreams around workforce, business intelligence and back office functions. The Federation are also currently supporting practices with forming Primary Care Networks. The 2019-20 allocation is to be used to support PCN development and a population health approach. Additional information: Direct Award to BHCIC for 1 year. BHCIC have already delivered on year one of the programme and as such have established relationships with the local practices around this workstream. They also have ongoing projects from year one which are still being delivered on. The high level guidance for the 2019-20 PCAS funding states this is to be used to support PCN development, and the GP Federation as the provider, are already working with the CCG and practices to form their PCNs, and to look at what ongoing support they may need once they are established. Recognising its obligations and responsibilities under the NHS (Procurement Patient Choice and Competition)(No.2) Regulations 2013, the CCG has assessed the most appropriate route to awarding this contract, having regard to the necessity to progress PCN development whilst building on progress already achieved, and has concluded that the selected provider will assure the safest solution and being considered the only technically capable provider.
