## Summary

The Elevate Berkshire Fund Project 2 is an employment and skills initiative aimed at supporting young people aged 18-24 in Slough who are unemployed or economically inactive. This tender is published by Reading Borough Council, which is the accountable body for the programme, and falls under the education and training services industry category. The procurement process is currently in the award stage, with a fixed price contract valued at £40,000. The contract period is set to begin on 1st July 2018 and will last until 30th June 2019. Interested parties were able to submit their tenders until the closing date of 23rd May 2018 through an open procurement method.

This tender presents an excellent opportunity for businesses, particularly those that specialise in employment support, education, and training services, to engage with a project focused on assisting young lone parents in gaining vital skills and employment. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are particularly encouraged to participate as they may have tailored approaches to address the specific barriers faced by the target demographic. By partnering with the Elevate Berkshire programme, businesses can not only contribute to meaningful social outcomes but also expand their service offerings and client base within the Berkshire region.
