## Summary

The University of Plymouth has awarded a contract for the management and operation of Treliske Halls in Truro. The procurement process concluded with an award on 1st September 2021. The contract, valued at £1,634,110 GBP, was awarded to Sanctuary Students. The services procured fall under the category of accommodation management services for the South West region in the United Kingdom. The procurement method used was an open procedure, with a tender period ending on 21st June 2021. The contract period is set to run from 1st November 2021 to 31st October 2024.

This opportunity created by the University of Plymouth is suited for service providers experienced in managing accommodation facilities. The contract involves responsibilities such as room allocation, maintenance services, and establishing good relationships with key stakeholders. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are eligible to compete for this tender, offering a chance for growth and collaboration with the University and the Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust. Interested businesses should be prepared to work autonomously and provide high-quality services to meet the Trust's recruitment needs.

## Notice

The management and operation of the University's Treslike halls in Truro requires a provider who can work in partnership with the University to provide excellent customer service to key workers from the Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust as well as to students from a number of universities. It involves allocating rooms and licensing residents throughout the year, to maximise occupancy and support the Trust's recruitment needs. The provider needs to ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, including all health and safety regulations, and provide a responsive building maintenance service to comply with agreed service level agreements. The provider is responsible for proposing and carrying out planned, cyclical and reactive maintenance. Cleaning, grounds maintenance and security are also the responsibility of the provider, as part of managing and presenting well-run accommodation that key workers and students want to select and live in, and for providing a pleasant living environment. The site is approximately 80 miles from the main University of Plymouth campus and the provider needs to work autonomously, taking responsible for the provision of the halls. Monthly reporting to the University on key statistics and meetings with the University, the Trust and others to review services is required. The provider is expected to establish good working relationships with the Trust as well as other interested parties.
