## Summary

The United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) is seeking tenders for an Applicant Tracking System aimed at enhancing their recruitment processes. This procurement is classified under recruitment services and is currently at the Tender stage, with submissions due by 16 March 2020. The contract period is set to commence on 17 March 2020 and conclude on 18 March 2020. The UKAEA is located at Culham Science Centre, Abingdon, OX14 3BD, and is initiating an open procurement process to ensure broad participation.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in recruitment technology and software solutions. Companies that develop innovative applicant tracking systems or have expertise in human resources services would be well-positioned to compete for this contract. With the UKAEA's growing workforce and the increased volume of applications, there's potential for service providers to enhance their offerings, thereby supporting the Authority's aim to streamline recruitment activities and improve user experience for both applicants and hiring managers.

## Notice

The UKAEA currently uses an applicant tracking system The system is used by the recruitment team, wider HR team, hiring managers, departmental heads and management accountants and external agents (recruiters and head-hunters). Candidates also apply for vacancies via the system. Varying levels of user rights are allocated to individuals depending on their role and responsibilities. The UKAEA has circa 1200 employees of which at least 25% - 30% are likely to require access to the system as a hiring manager or support user Volume of applications annually is currently between 3000 and 4000 and there are no restrictions on when an applicant can apply (these include internal employees, external applications and agency represented candidates). Applicants can apply for multiple roles and previous application details are saved to save applicants time in submitting new applications. Applicants are currently required to create a login (username and password) The current system is the first ATS implemented for UKAEA and since initial implementation the volume of recruitment has increased significantly as has the size of the recruitment and wider HR teams and other users. Therefore some current processes and functionalities within the system will need to be improved both from a candidate and internal user perspective.
