## Notice

2.1 Objectives of the Contract The key objectives of the contract are to undertake easement works to the barriers, identified in Table 1.1, above. All easement works are scheduled to take place in 2022. Easements proposed to be constructed are summarised within Table 2.1, below: Table 2.1: Easement Summary Reference Barrier Easement Description Rye 20 Stone culvert Addition of two pre-weirs downstream of road culvert Rye 21 Single culvert Replacement with 3.0m span multi-plate bottomless arch culvert Rye 22 Triple culvert Replacement with 4.0m span multi-plate bottomless arch culvert The appointed Principal Contractor shall be responsible for carrying out all elements of the construction works subject to the approval of the Client / Project Manager. This Pre-Construction Information (PCI) document should be read in conjunction with the Contract Data including the Risk Register and design drawings for the project. 2.2 Scope of Works The works are outlined below and detailed within the design drawings and shall be appointed under one contract per easement works. This document details the works required to be conducted at the This PCI provides health and safety information as part of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015). It shall be issued as part of the tender documents to the various organisations who have been invited to bid for the works. The key activities for each easement works contract are outlined below. All...annel; Erect Multi-Plate Bottomless Arch Culvert (MP-BAC) from pre-fabricated plates and cast in-situ concrete headwall, to tie-in to foundations; Place armour stone to watercourse at culvert inlet, outlet and along length of culvert, reinstate bed with stone, as per design specification; Backfill by placement and compaction (of retained fill) in layers, to sides and above crest of the installed arch culvert; and Reinstatement of track surface, with compacted Type 1 (minimum 0.2m) underlain by Terram 1000 (or similar). 2.2.3 Rye 22 Replacement of single culvert with 4.0m span bottomless arch culvert Works to be undertaken on a private track crossing Bonfield Gill; Remove existing track and culverts, excavate to commencing level for the placement of culvert foundations regrade existing bed, and install bed protection, as per design specification; Placement and compaction of Type 1 subbase as formation layer and cast in-situ strip foundations, including arch seating channel; Erect MP-BAC from pre-fabricated plates and cast in-situ concrete headwall, to tie-in to foundations; Add rock armour added to watercourse at culvert inlet, outlet and along length of culvert, reinstate bed with stone, as per design specification; Backfill by placement and compaction (of retained fill) in layers, to sides and above crest of the installed arch culvert; and Reinstatement of track surface with concrete slab.
