## Summary

Nottingham Trent University (NTU) has issued a tender for the procurement of a high-speed camera. This procurement falls under the industry category of cameras, with the specific classification code CPV 38651000. The camera is intended for use in various applications, including wind tunnel environments. Key details include its monochrome high-speed imaging capabilities at a minimum of 15,000 fps, a 12-bit image recording with high light sensitivity, durable design, flexible shutter speeds, and compatibility with Nikon F-Type mount and modern Windows operating systems. The tender period ends on 3rd December 2024, with the contract expected to start on 10th January 2025 and conclude on 9th January 2026. The procurement process is currently in the tender stage.

This opportunity presents significant growth potential for businesses specialising in high-speed imaging technology, particularly those capable of providing robust and precise equipment that meets the detailed technical specifications. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are encouraged to participate, making it ideal for those with experience in digital imaging, precision engineering, and scientific instrument manufacturing. The extensive application range and specific needs of the tender suggest that businesses with strong R&D capabilities and expertise in custom solutions for academic or industrial research would be highly suited to compete for this contract.

## Notice

The University has a requirement for the purchase of a high-speed camera. The camera must be equipped with CMOS image sensor technologies to allow for extensive high-speed digital imaging needed. It needs to be used in a wide variety of applications. An example application is a wind tunnel environment with a working distance around 200-500mm and an object size of 50-200mm. The following technical specifications are required: * Monochrome high-speed Imaging with a minimum frame rate of 15,000 fps at 768 x 768 pixels. * Provides 12-bit image recording with a minimum ISO 64,000 monochrome light sensitivity. * Features a lightweight, rugged, and sealed design to protect internal components from dust and corrosion. * Flexible shutter speeds capable of achieving 1ms to 0.2us independent of frame rate. * Manual and TTL external sync trigger modes. * Equipped with a 10-Gigabit Ethernet interface. * A minimum of 16GB memory with memory segmentation option. * Compatible with Nikon F-Type mount. * Sensor size must be 28.96mm diagonal to be compatible to our existing optical and magnification systems for some specific applications. * It should come with user-friendly imaging software and SDK support for MATLAB and LabView integration. Must support latest Windows OS (i.e., 10 and 11)
