## Summary

The Commission for Local Administration in England has initiated a procurement process for an AI advisor to help navigate the organisation through opportunities and risks associated with artificial intelligence. This falls under the industry category of Software integration consultancy services (CPV code: 72227000). The procurement follows a selective method, specifically a call-off from a dynamic purchasing system. The contract, valued at GBP 9,000, covers multiple regions including Yorkshire and the Humber, West Midlands, and London, running from 6th September 2024 to 31st March 2025. The award of the contract to CreateFuture, an SME based in Leeds, was announced on 17th January 2025.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in AI consultancy, particularly those with expertise in both the strategic and practical implementation of AI solutions. SMEs with a strong background in identifying and mitigating AI-related risks, as well as those capable of providing continuous support and advice, would be well-suited to compete in such tenders. Winning contracts like this can enhance their reputation and provide sustained business growth through long-term engagements with public sector organisations.

## Notice

We require experienced AI specialist to guide our organisation through the growing opportunities afforded by artificial intelligence. We already have specific ideas about how this may be applied to investigating complaints and engaging with the public, but the ideal candidate will also help to identify other possibilities, as well as highlighting risks of using AI in our organisation. The individual will assist in practical ways, advising on potential solutions and acting in an advisory capacity. Key Responsibilities: * Expertise in AI Landscape: Maintain expert knowledge of the current and emerging AI technologies and methodologies. * Opportunity and Risk Identification: Proactively identify opportunities for AI to add value to the business, as well as potential risks associated with AI technology, both in general and in specific projects. * Assist with AI Solutions: Utilise practical experience to guide the choice of AI technologies within our organisation. * Ongoing Support and Advice: Reviewing and advising on AI projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and NCSC/technology standards.
