## Summary

Cambridgeshire County Council has initiated a tender for a Soft Market investigation for Consultancy services to develop a Local Area Energy Plan for the County of Cambridgeshire. This project aims to inform policy, planning, and investment towards achieving Net Zero targets. The engagement end date for this tender is set for 1st November 2023.

This tender presents an opportunity for businesses in the infrastructure works consultancy services, environmental engineering consultancy services, and energy-efficiency consultancy services sectors to engage with Cambridgeshire County Council. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) are well-suited to participate in this planning phase tender.

## Notice

To develop a Local Area Energy Plan (LAEP) understanding the energy data and future demand is key if we want to get to Net Zero at least cost with an optimised and efficient system. The LAEP process will need to inform policy, planning, investment and wider collaboration with key stakeholders to deliver Net Zero targets. This project is involves all authorities within the County of Cambridgeshire including UK Power Networks, Cambridge and Anglia Ruskin Universities, and Greater Southeast Net Zero Hub.
