The Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC), part of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), is a world leading science organisation which works with a wide range of parties (universities, private sector and international research partners) to deliver a high standard of research and innovation. STFC is responsible for running and developing user facilities as well as delivering unique equipment to international Collaborations and conducting and enabling a wide range of unique research. An award has been made for the provision of a IEEE subscription service for the period 30th November 2023 to 31st December 2024. Journal articles, conference papers and standards are important communication vehicles in the research world. Finding articles and retrieving full-text is an information need within STFC which the Library aims to meet through provision of trusted, high quality journal products. Library user surveys and usage statistics have shown us that articles from IEEE journals and conferences are important to our researchers and in high demand. The IEL provides unlimited access to 4 million+ articles, conference papers and standards published by IEEE. This is a single subscription to provide access across all STFC UK sites. The IEEE publish and own their content and make it available through their product, the IEL. Each article is unique in content and not duplicated by any other publisher. An annual subscription to the IEL is required to access the content from IEEE. The IEEE has appointed Content Online as their sole UK agent. No other agency can offer the product for subscription in the UK.
