These bootcamps were designed to help unemployed, economically inactive and career changers in the WMCA administrative area to enter digital roles beyond entry-level. Bootcamps were also used to support employed residents to gain the skills required to secure more digital responsibility or promotion within their existing employment. Following the success of the initial programme, a further PS3.1m was then awarded to WMCA and delivery has also been continued via the Adult Education Budget. As part of the government's National Skills Fund expansion, WMCA has now been awarded a further PS11.25m to develop 'Bootcamp' expand provision Digital and in Health and Green sectors. Building on the successful pilot programme and through this outline specification, WMCA is seeking to develop a new technical Bootcamp training offer for the region at Levels 3-5.
