## Summary

The British Film Institute (BFI) is conducting a tender for a feasibility study regarding the creation, provision, and maintenance of an open data platform to support the UK Global Screen Fund's activities. This procurement falls under the services category, specifically focusing on feasibility studies, and is being carried out through an open procedure, which is below the threshold. The tender period closes on 12 March 2021, and work is expected to commence on 23 March 2021, lasting until 14 June 2021. The BFI is located at 21 Stephen Street, London, W1T 1LN, United Kingdom, and expressions of interest should be submitted via their online portal.

This tender provides a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in research and insight, particularly those with experience in international content production, distribution, and the creative sectors, including film, television, and video games. Companies with a strong technical understanding of data platforms and their operation will find this project well-suited for their qualifications. Engaging in this process could enhance their visibility and open doors for collaborations within the UK screen sector, leveraging the resources provided by the UK Global Screen Fund.

## Notice

The BFI is seeking to commission a feasibility study for the creation, provision and maintenance of a new open data platform. The platform will form part of the BFI's activities, funded by a new UK Global Screen Fund (in its pilot year in 2021/22), to provide information and support that enables those working in the UK screen sector - covering the creation of film, television programmes and video games - to understand the opportunities and challenges presented by international partnerships and sales. We are looking for a research/insight organisation/supplier who has both expertise of understanding international content production, distribution and export and who understands the creative sectors and the nuances associated with the sales of film, television programmes and video games across the globe. In addition, the supplier should have a good technical knowledge of knowledge platforms, how they are operated, designed and maintained, what the advantages of such platforms can be and what the downfalls are, preferably gained through practical experience of acquiring, designing or maintaining such a tool.
