## Summary

The procurement process is initiated by Siemens Mobility Ltd for the "Operational Telephone System for HS2", focusing on providing an advanced communication system across key infrastructure locations of HS2. This opportunity is categorised under emergency telephones and it primarily involves goods. The contracted work involves deploying a VoIP-based system and associated sub-systems at HS2's stations and other critical points. The tender is currently in the active stage, with the tender period ending on 18th August 2026. The initiative spans locations including the UK, Channel Islands, and other global regions. Interested parties should note the contract's commencement on 8th March 2027, going through to 17th October 2033, with a projected value of GBP 2,500,000.

This tender presents significant growth opportunities for businesses specialising in telecommunications infrastructure, particularly for those experienced in railway engineering services and advanced telephony systems. Companies offering comprehensive VoIP solutions, especially those with capabilities in deployment within high-speed rail environments, will find this tender particularly suitable. Despite not being tailored specifically for SMEs or VCSEs, larger enterprises with substantial infrastructure capabilities will likely find themselves well-positioned to compete for this contract.
