## Summary

The Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust is currently in the tender stage of procuring a High Intensity User Service aimed at supporting individuals across the North West London Boroughs of Kensington & Chelsea, Westminster, and Hillingdon. This procurement, classified under the industry category of Hospital Support Services (CPV code: 85112000), seeks to commission a provider to implement a social, non-clinical approach to address recurring A&E visits and hospital readmissions. The tender is in an open procedure and has a submission deadline on 24th March 2025 at 12:00 PM. The contract is set to begin on 1st August 2025 and will end on 31st July 2026, with an estimated value of £975,000.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in health and social care services, particularly those comfortable with non-clinical, holistic approaches to patient support. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are especially encouraged to participate. Companies providing innovative solutions to reduce hospital re-admissions and unscheduled care visits, thereby releasing capacity for those in need, would find this contract particularly suitable. Engaging in this tender process could drive business growth by expanding their service portfolio and establishing a strong relationship with a prominent NHS Foundation Trust.

## Notice

CNWL is looking to commission a bespoke High Intensity Use service across the North West London Boroughs of Kensington & Chelsea, Westminster and Hillingdon to support this cohort of individuals. The Trust would like to develop a different, non-clinical approach to address some of the underlying social needs that are not being met by the existing system. The Trust seeks to commission a Provider to adopt a social-led approach to support this cohort of patients who frequently present to A&E and/or are re-admitted into hospital within a short period of time, as well as those at risk of this. The Provider will take a holistic, social, non-clinical approach to support an identified cohort of these patients in North West London. The aim is to understand and address the causes of their high intensity use of unscheduled care services and/or their repeated need for hospitalisation, and in turn release capacity to those who need it the most.
