## Summary

The Ministry of Defence, located in Andover, is conducting a tender for the "Future Licence Acquisition Training System" as part of its ongoing commitment to training personnel within the Armed Forces. This procurement, focusing on driving licence services, is currently in the planning stage, with an end date for submissions set for 1 April 2021. The contract is expected to commence on the same date and will run until 31 March 2025, encompassing a total value of £52 million. Interested parties should note that an industry event will be held on 17 February 2020 at the Defence School of Transport, providing an opportunity for stakeholders to discuss the delivery model and contribute their insights through an electronic questionnaire.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in training services, particularly those equipped to deliver driving licence programmes for various vehicle categories across the UK. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) may find this a particularly advantageous procurement process, as the structure encourages input from a diverse range of industry representatives. Companies focused on transport training solutions, curriculum development for driving instruction, or logistical support services would be well-positioned to compete effectively. Participants in this soft market exercise can leverage their expertise to influence the development of the training system, potentially securing a pivotal role in the future delivery of these critical services.
