## Summary

The Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames is currently conducting a public procurement process for the "Moor Lane Respite Centre - Build Contract," aimed at constructing a new residential respite facility in Chessington, London. The procurement falls under the construction industry category, specifically classified as "Construction work" (CPV code: 45000000). The procurement method chosen is an open procedure, with the tender period scheduled to end on 4th February 2018. The total budget allocated for this project is £1,450,000, and the contract is expected to commence on 1st April 2018 and conclude by 31st October 2019.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for construction firms, particularly those with expertise in creating high-quality residential facilities that meet specific accessibility needs, as 25% of the rooms must be wheelchair compliant and equipped with ensuite hoist facilities. Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) are encouraged to participate, and businesses experienced in working within community-focused projects that create safe and homely environments will be well-positioned to compete effectively. Firms that can demonstrate strong design capabilities and environmental considerations, such as retaining existing landscape features, will find themselves particularly suited for this tender.
