## Summary

The University of Nottingham has issued a tender for the procurement of a short-pulsed laser for biomedical imaging purposes in the Optics and Photonics Research Group. The university aims to secure value for money goods and services with an estimated value between £20,000 - £60,000. The contract will include provision of equipment, training, and a minimum 12-month warranty, with a tender deadline of 12th May 2023 and a contract period starting from 17th May 2023 to 1st August 2024.

This tender presents an opportunity for businesses involved in the laser industry to compete for supplying the required technology to the University of Nottingham. Companies specialising in lasers and biomedical imaging equipment would be well-suited to participate in the tender process. The procurement stage is currently set as an open procedure below the threshold, providing a chance for potential suppliers to engage with the university and potentially expand their business through this contract.
