This Contract is being conducted by the Council, however it has been developed in collaboration with the NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) including: o Surrey Heartlands CCG o Frimley CCG This partnership are therefore seeking an experienced, competent and innovative provider who will work with them as a strategic business partner in a collaborative spirit of openness and trust and who will pro-actively support them in developing service initiatives that will deliver quality and value for the people of Surrey. The service provider will provide evidence of quality assured policies and procedures that will be applied to this service. The core activities of the CES provider is to procure, deliver, install, maintain, collect and recycle equipment for service users on behalf of social care or NHS professional prescribers. The Commissioners view this as a strategically important service that supports numerous key initiatives relating to improved community-based care for people in Surrey, and as such linked to common outcomes for both the health and social care sectors. This is a 7 year contract with the option to extend for a further 2 1-year periods.
