## Summary

The University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) is initiating a tender for Taxi and Courier Services, aimed at supporting its hospitals and health service premises across Birmingham and the surrounding areas. This procurement is currently in the planning stage, with an engagement end date set for 1st March 2019. The Trust aims to award contracts lasting a minimum of three years, with anticipated completion dates for the contractual processes planned for April 2019, potentially with a go-live date as early as 1st July 2019. The services will predominantly include transport for staff, patients, specimens, and medical equipment within the West Midlands region.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in transport and logistics, particularly those adept in taxi and courier services. Companies that can offer timely and reliable service in local and possibly international delivery would be well-placed to compete. Given the expansive clientele and high demand from UHB, businesses that can demonstrate experience and capacity to manage logistical challenges, as well as provide value for money, are encouraged to engage in this tender process. Participation in the Supplier Information Event scheduled for August could provide useful insights and networking opportunities.
