## Summary

Norwich City Council, representing a consortium of local planning authorities, is seeking tenders for the "Strategic Flood Risk Assessment - Level 1". This project falls within the environmental engineering sector and is located in Norwich, United Kingdom. The tender has concluded its award stage, with the contract awarded on 13 April 2017. The contract period runs from 28 April 2017 to 31 October 2017, and it was procured through an open procedure, with a contract value of approximately £51,776.50 awarded to JBA Consulting.

This tender presents a lucrative opportunity for consultancy firms specialising in environmental engineering and risk assessment, particularly those with expertise in flood risk analysis and urban planning. Companies that are suitably qualified to provide geological consultancy or technical analysis services could benefit substantially from this project. With the ongoing development of new Local Plans and strategic assessments across the region, there is significant potential for business growth in this area as local authorities increasingly seek to enhance their planning frameworks.

## Notice

Norwich City Council, on behalf of a consortium of local planning authorities comprising Broadland District Council, Great Yarmouth Borough Council, The Borough Council of King's Lynn & West Norfolk, North Norfolk District Council, Norwich City Council, South Norfolk Council and the Broads Authority ("the Authorities"), invites tenders from suitably qualified consultants to prepare a new Level 1 Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (SFRA). The purpose of which is to inform strategic planning decisions, the preparation of new Local Plans and inform development management decisions. The study should also identify where detailed Level 2 assessment works may be required across the study areas. The Councils of Broadland, Norwich, and South Norfolk, are working in partnership with Norfolk County Council through the Greater Norwich Development Partnership to prepare the Greater Norwich Local Plan and the remaining individual authorities are all working across Norfolk to create new Local Plans, all of which are expected to have a time horizon of 2036. This level 1 SFRA will form part of the evidence base for each Local Plan. The Authorities wish to appoint consultants to undertake these assessments covering the six districts and which include those parts of the Broads Authority area that fall into the Norfolk Broads.
