Service is anticipated to commence 1 July 2019 and will include a schedule of inspection, cleaning and refurbishment of the 13 buoys that are the responsibility of the Port of Ramsgate as the Local Lighthouse Authority. All equipment deployed must be to the most up to date criteria laid down by the General Lighthouse Authority and that the characteristics of these aids to navigation must comply with Guidelines and Recommendations as laid down by the International Association of Marine Aids to Navigation and Lighthouse Authorities (IALA). The procurement process will be undertaken on the basis of an open tender. All tenders will be accepted subject to the tenderer providing suitable responses to grounds for Mandatory and Discretionary Rejection and that the minimum standards are met as set out in the Invitation to Tender document. Evaluation will be on the basis of criteria as set out in the Invitation to Tender document.
