## Summary

The Safe Haven Project York, initiated by the Tees, Esk & Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust, seeks a provider to establish and manage a safe and supportive environment for adults facing mental health crises. This project targets the health and social work services sector and is located at 30 Clarence Street, York (postal code YO31 7DE). The procurement stage is currently at the award phase, having been published on 20 September 2017. The total contract value is £130,000, with an initial term of 12 months followed by options for two additional 12-month extensions. Providers interested in this opportunity were required to submit expressions of interest by noon on 7 August 2017. The procurement method used was an open procedure (below threshold).

This tender presents significant business opportunities for SMEs and voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSEs) specialised in mental health services and support. Companies capable of providing a non-clinical environment conducive to mental health recovery, alongside qualified staffing, would be advantageous competitors. The successful provider will have the responsibility to create a welcoming, safe atmosphere that promotes self-management and trauma awareness, thus enabling them to contribute to the urgent need for mental health crisis services in the York area.
