## Summary

The Coal Authority is initiating a procurement process for "Ground Stabilisation Works by Drilling & Grouting" within the UK, particularly focusing on regions including Scotland, Northumberland, and Wales. This tender process is currently in the planning stage, with a key milestone associated with the engagement end date set for 30th June 2019. The framework agreement is designed to be operational from 1st August 2019 to 31st July 2023, with the opportunity for suppliers to bid across various regions or select specific areas of interest. The classified work falls under "Ground-stabilisation work" as per the CPV codes, indicating the specialised nature of the task involved.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses involved in civil engineering, geotechnical services, and drilling operations, particularly those that are SMEs. Companies that can demonstrate expertise in ground stabilisation techniques, compliance with relevant safety and environmental regulations, and possess the necessary equipment for both open and restricted access projects will be well-positioned to compete. The framework also allows potential contractors to form partnerships, maximising resource availability while mitigating risks of non-performance.
