## Summary

The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust is currently undertaking the planning stage for a procurement process titled "Electronic patient meals ordering system." This initiative is aimed at enhancing patient care while achieving cost efficiencies within the healthcare sector, specifically under the CPV classification of food, beverages, tobacco and related products. Located in Wakefield, England, the engagement end date is set for 21st October 2020, with this notice published on 6th October 2020. The project promises to replace the existing manual food ordering procedure with a digital process that streamlines meal selections and reduces wastage.

This procurement opportunity is particularly beneficial for businesses that specialise in digital solutions for food service management, healthcare software development, or those involved in nutrition and dietetics services. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) would be well-suited to compete due to the requirement for expertise in implementing electronic systems within the NHS framework. Companies with experience in similar projects, demonstrating cost-effective systems and training capabilities, are encouraged to engage with the tender process to showcase their solutions for improving patient meal ordering efficiency.

Stock Control - control of minimum and maximum stock levels, ordering to be based upon actual consumption, stock recording for speed and accuracy.
