## Summary

The Ministry of Defence, specifically the ISTAR, Joint Sensor and Engagement Networks Team (JSENS), has initiated a tender titled "Land Environment Air Picture Provision (LEAPP)" for the provision of system and support services. This procurement falls under the goods category and is located in the South West region of the United Kingdom. The tender is currently in the active stage and is set to close on 20 March 2020. The total contract value is £10,000,000, with a minimum value of £1,000,000, and the contract period is scheduled to commence on 1 January 2021 and conclude on 1 January 2025. This opportunity is being conducted through a selective procurement method via a negotiated procedure, and the contract opportunity is also published in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) as well as on the Defence Contracts Bulletin.

This tender represents an excellent opportunity for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) specialising in defence and technology-related services, particularly those with capabilities in air situational awareness systems. Businesses that focus on the integration of advanced radar and data link technologies, as specified in the requirements for the LEAPP system, would be well-positioned to compete for this contract. The Ministry of Defence emphasises the importance of the new system's small form factor and the integration of Giraffe-AMB radars, indicating a need for innovative solutions and adaptability in approach, which could significantly contribute to business growth in the defence sector.
